  • Step 4
    • Complete the application.
    • If you have taken college classes, it does not mean you are currently in college when it asks. Make sure you put that you are a high schooler! Otherwise, you won't be eligible.
      • GPA: You will need a copy of your transcript because it asks for GPAs grades 9-12. Please use weighted GPA when completing this and click the box that says "My school uses weighted GPA." When entering, do not use a 4.0 scale. We use a percentage. If your weighted average is a 94%, enter 94.
      • Class Rank: The school uses an "Integer" system. Use the information on the transcript Mrs. Whaley gave you.
      • Test Scores: This is where you will enter SAT/ACT scores. When you are finished, make sure you press "I have entered all of my test scores."
      • Activities/Awards/Employment: Enter any activities/awards/employment in this section. When you are finished, press "I have entered all my activities/awards/employment."
      • Documents: Press "I have entered all my documents." (You will not be entering anything here.)
      • Parent/Guardian Info: If you are under 18, your parent will have to give consent for you to apply to this. They will receive an email.
      • Financial Info: Click "I do not wish to include financial information."
    • Essays: Please complete both essays in this section. They will be graded with the ELA regents rubric. Please write an ESSAY… a paragraph is not an essay. This is free money… put in the effort. Your essays should be at least 200 words. Proper grammar and sentence structure.
      • Unusual Circumstances- Please see Mrs. Whaley for a list of suggested items to include in this essay. If you do not feel you have any unusual circumstances, write "I do not have any unusual circumstances at this time."
    • References/Transcripts: You will need to request a transcript from the guidance office even though I gave you a printed copy. For references, choose someone who would give a positive reference for you. Tell them you have requested them!!
  • Step 5
    • When you are all done, click "Save and Look for scholarships" on the bottom of the Reference/Transcript Page
  • Step 6
    • Custom Eligibility Questions
    • You will be asked to answer custom eligibility questions that may help you qualify for other scholarships.
    • Scholarships you are eligible for will show up under "Scholarship"
      • They each have additional components. Click "view" to read the description then "essay" to complete the additional tasks. Again, write quality essays.
      • If no scholarships pop up, see Mrs. Whaley immediately. It means something is missing.
